Discover Skeppsholmen and our historic premises

Skeppsholmen is one of Stockholm’s most unique places – a green, peaceful island in the middle of the city with a rich maritime and cultural heritage. Many people associate the island with art and museums, but it is also home to some of the city’s most characteristic and historic premises.

We at Skeppsholmsgruppen manage and rent out several of these historic buildings, and we often get questions like: “What is the history of the premises?”, “What types of events can we organize?” and “Which venue is best for us?” Here we tell you more about some of our venues.

Eric Ericson Hall

Eric Ericsonhallen, formerly known as Skeppsholmskyrkan, was built in the 19th century as an Admiralty church for the navy. The church was designed by Fredrik Blom and is inspired by the Pantheon in Rome with its magnificent dome and round shape. When the church was desacralized in the 1960s, it stood unused for a long time, before being transformed into one of Stockholm’s most unique concert and event halls.

Today, the Eric Ericson Hall is used for concerts, conferences, galas and award ceremonies – a place where history and music meet in a bright and magnificent setting.

The vicarage

Mindre Prästgården was built in the 18th century as a residence for priests who served on Skeppsholmen. The building is nestled among greenery and offers a warm and personal atmosphere, perfect for smaller meetings, workshops or intimate dinners.

Here you get a homely feeling and the opportunity to meet in peace and quiet, in the middle of central Stockholm but still secluded.

Sailing halls

Our Sailing Hall gets its name from its former use as a sailmaker’s shop, where the fleet’s sails were made and repaired. The bright and airy room offers beautiful windows and views of the water.

Segelsalen is ideal for everything from conferences and seminars to dinners and creative events. Here you get an inspiring environment where history meets modern functionality.

The glass veranda

Glasverandan is one of our most popular rooms, thanks to its stunning views of Nybroviken and the Stockholm skyline. Originally used as a representation and officers’ dining room, the feeling of elegance and light still lives on today.

The glass veranda is ideal for mingling, lunches and smaller parties where you want to combine an intimate feeling with a magnificent view.
