Ensemble Å conducted by Sofia Ågren, Class Na24ka Stockholms Musikgymnasium Kungsholmen conducted by Maria Goundorina.

Ensemble Å was founded in 2021 by conductor Sofia Ågren, and is a professional vocal ensemble consisting of singers with their home in the Radio Choir, Eric Ericson’s Chamber Choir, Mikaeli Chamber Choir, Allmänna sången, Gustaf Sjökvists Chamber Choir and others, who are united by a desire to make music at a high level. The ensemble had its premiere concert in Gottsunda Church in the spring of 2022 and has since worked in project form.

The ERICSONG choir series offers the audience a high-quality concert in which the professional choir invites the audience to meet a young choir, which is also given the opportunity to sing a small part of the concert. ERICSONG offers a place where the merited ensemble can challenge and test their artistic boundaries and design a program to uncompromisingly let both audience and singers take part in what carries Swedish choral life forward.

Sweden ranks high in the international choir world, thanks to Eric Ericson’s invaluable work then, and today’s choir directors and choir singers today.
We want to draw attention to this, strengthen it, utilize it, manage it and develop it.

Welcome to ERICSONG!

Ericsong is organized by the Eric Ericson International Choral Centre with the support of Region Stockholm, the Swedish Arts Council, the City of Stockholm and Helge Ax:son Johnson.
